| May 24- A good car count at North Florida Speedway with 21 latemodels for a regular Saturday night of racing. With three heat races giving the 21 cars a chance for the top finishers in each heat to Automatically transfer to the dash for cash and three others to be drawn from a hat. The #15 had a dominating third heat race performance taking the checkers half a straightaway ahead of the second place finisher to earn a third place starting position in the dash for cash race and feature. The #15 started the five lap dash for cash third and finished third. With dry slick track conditions the #15 started the 20 lap feature third and finished third. Rocket on over to Ocala Speedway June 6th for the UDLMCS 100 Lapper! June 6&7- The #15 made the trip to Ocala Speedway Friday night for the UDLMCS. Fifty four latemodels were on hand for the thirty starting positions. the #15 drew a bad pill starting the fifth heat race in the 5th position. Finishing 5th with the top 3 to transfer to the feature. Transferred to the B main started seventh with the top two to the feature. Missed the field for the 1st time. On the way back home Saturday night the #15 decided to stop at North Florida Speedway for a regular Saturday night race. There were twenty cars on hand. The #15 started the feature in the thirteenth place and came to sixth in four laps when an ignition problem forced the #15 to the pits for the night. No Luck on our side this weekend! Rocket on over to North Florida Speedway June 21st! June 21- The #15 loaded up for a regular Saturday night show at North Florida Speedway. There were eighteen cars on hand to try out the new clay they put down. The #15 started the twenty lap feature eighth and finished seventh. Rocket on over to the wicked fast Golded Isles Speedway for the UDLMCS on June 28th! July 12- With surrounding dirt tracks racing on the same night (GIS, Albany & NFS) the #15 decided on NFS. When we arrived the rain began to fall thought we had made the wrong decision and might not get to race. After the rain stopped and the track worked in there were ten late models on hand. The #15 started the first heat in fourth and finished second. The #15 started the feature second row inside. Going into turn four to take the green flag. A late model came from the rear to the second row on the outside to make it 3 wide. The flagman gave the green flag instead of a yellow with 3 wide on the second row the #15 was forced down into the mud and fell back to sixth. With only 20 laps and a one grove race track the #15 finished 5th. Rocket on over to Volusia Speedway July 19 for the 3rd Annual Thompson Memorial with the UDLMCS & NLMSS! July 19- The #15 made the three and half hour ride to Volusia Speedway for the 3rd Annual Thompson Memorial! There were 61 late models on hand for the thirty starting positions. The #15 drew the #4 pill. There were 10 late models in 6 groups. The #15 qualified fifth in group one. The #15 started fifth for his heat race. The drop of the green #15 jumped out to a fourth. The #15 was reeling in the third place car to transfer to the A-main until lap 7 the third place car spun in the bottom of turns 1&2 staying in the gas shooting straight up the track and clipped the #15's left side rear tire. The #15 was done for the night with a shattered drive shaft and bird cage! Rocket on over to Albany Speedway July 26th for a Regular Saturday Night Show! July 26- The #15 made its first trip to the new re-opened Albany Speedway. There were twenty two late models on hand. The #15 qualified eleventh to start the feature sixth row inside. At the end of the 20 lap feature the #15 finished eighth. Rocket on over to Albany Speedway August 9th for a regular Saturday Night Show! August 9- The #15 made its first trip to Waycross Motor Speedway for a UDLMCS race. There were twenty seven cars on hand to race on the oil base track for fifty laps. The # 15 started twenty fourth and finished seventeenth. Rocket on over to North Florida Speedway Sept 6th for the UDLMCS race! September 6- The #15 went to its home track at North Florida Speedway for the UDLMCS. There were thirtyone cars battling for the top twenty-six starting positions. In heat one there were nine late models with the #15 finishing 3rd to transfer to the main event. After all four heats the #15 started the feature fith row inside and finished the fifty lapper 9th after battling back after a mid race spin. The #15 received the top rookie award for the race! Rocket on over to Golden Isles Speedway Sept. 13th for the next UDLMCS race. September 13- The #15 traveled to the coast to Golden Isles Speedway for the UDLMCS race. There were thirty six latemodels battling for the 27 starting poisitions. The #15 was off on its set up early in the night. After its heat race the #15 had to go to the consi. During the consi the #15 hit a tire and broke the front suspension. Evan jumped into the #6 car of Bridges latemodel to start the 40 lap feature in the twenty seventh position to finish 20th. After a failure of a suspension part on the left front with five laps to go Evan had to settle with a 20th place finish! Rocket on over to North Florida Speedway for a Regular Show Sept. 20th! September 20- The #15 traveled a short distance down the road to North Florida Speedway for a regualr Saturday night race. With four surrounding dirt tracks running the fourteen latemodel turnout was good. The # 15 started heat one third and finished second putting the #15 second row inside for the feature. With the feature cut to 15 laps the #15 finished fourth. Rocket on over to East Bay Sept. 27th for the UDLMCS! |
